Victoria County – Introduction
The County Seat of Victoria County Texas is the City of Victoria. Victory County is formed by the Republic of Texasin 1836 and is named after Guadeloupe Victoria, the first President of Mexico. Victoria county history with European settlement dates back to 1685 when the oldest French settlement was built at Fort Saint Louis.
